Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Here we go again…

Just received an email from management saying they want > 100% utilization in Aero. The mandate was 42+ hours on direct charge projects with 100% of any time off made up during that given week. Such a foolish ask since 90% of our staff have no work to get even 36 direct hours in any given week - all due to extreme RDE budget cuts. Plus it’s up to ourselves to find work. I’ve had enough and will not participate.

If they are mandating a specific number of hours that salaried employees must work, I would be contacting a labor lawyer.

Bummysmell sucks. Dumped em. New place let's me roll over my time to a max each year. Remember when earned time off meant something? Some frogs like that rising water temp.

Nope. I have always taken every single day of my earned vacation based on the old vacation method (band 4 with 5 weeks).
And I have downshifting to 40 hours a week without a problem, by prioritizing and ignore much of the noise. Do my work during those endless/useless meetings help

Remember, you don't legally have to work even 40 hours a week as a salaried employee. People are tricked into thinking you must work at least 40, 42, 44, etc. But the only legal requirement is to record the hours you do work. You get fully paid even if you work just 30. Of course you may get a poor review, but if everyone just works 40 and goes home, they can't do a thing.

But most employee are sheep and don't have the ba11$ to stand together and do that.

I guess the people with not enough work due to continuous RDE cuts can now take their unlimited vacation (just kidding, but you know what I mean). My last few years at Aero were intolerable (I just hated all the double speak and gaslighting from execs).

lol tell them to get lost. They've been playing this game for years. Top execs and the CEO make bank while you get a sh-t raise and make less money than before due to inflation.

Eventually? Cancelling vacation is page 2 of the iManage manual.

Seems like a double speak for “We are canceling all vacation and sick leave for Aero employees”.
I knew unlimited vacation would eventually lead to this.

How about all VP and Directors go without pay for a month? Then zero all MIP for e-level.
