Oops. That’s the end of any trading business… I really didn’t think Warren was this stoopid. But unlike the senior management I admit I’m sometimes wrong.

Speculative energy trading can be like the wild west, not really suitable for members of the faint-hearted and risk-averse population. Does ExxonMobil really believe it will be the industry leader in energy trading? Maybe they will surprise me and pull it off, but I foresee some big "lessons learned" on the horizon.

@2iym+1mlwVjH7 This is happening not only at the executive level. We can't find people willing to come as engineers, customer developers, and so on. The word is out. Nobody that is good wants to join us. Whoever comes through the door and has a pulse has a job at ExxonMobil. No questions asked.

I'm not in Trading but was generally happy with this announcement. I'm hoping this now allows Global HR to undo all the disastrous policies damaging our company. Prediction: Next year there's an announcement that mandatory PIP process is no more and local leadership can determine what's best for their organization.
Every org (but Trading) will celebrate a return to common sense employee development practices.

Oh happy day. The coldest most unempathetic person (other than DWW) is leaving HR?! Thank the lord. However if I was in GGOT I would feel like the grim reaper just got put in charge of us. I think she’ll be running it all by herself. Which is what she wanted for the rest of the Corp. Fire or demotivate everyone to save cost! Good luck TG!!

This sums up how corrupt and broken the company is. Someone who, by many accounts, showed unethical behaviors and character is put up as a poster child and an example of what to aspire to be in Exxon. Count me out please.
