Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Thought for the day

Elon Musk had to buy Twitter before he could drive the company in to the ground (laying off seasoned valuable employees, eliminating anyone who isn’t a yes-man, reckless decisions, worsening the customer-experience, wanting to charge long- term customers for a rapidly declining product, single-handedly cutting the company’s value in half.)

Wells Fargo BOD is paying Charlie to drive the company in to the ground (laying off seasoned valuable employees, eliminating anyone who isn’t a yes-man, reckless decisions, selling off profitable business lines, investing billions in stock buybacks rather than updating technology, disrespecting all stakeholders, single-handedly cutting our stock price by a third and our dividend by half).

Musk is not doing great work at Twitter.

Musk demands that all employees be in the office 5 days, all day. Musk apparently thinks it's 1995.

Regressive policy for someone that normally is forward thinking.

Elon is doing great work at twitter.

WFC is a contrast, not a compare with Twitter.

Elon is just an awkward guy with money and influence recklessly trying to be popular, over-compensating for something. He needs to get his focus back to solving real problems and solving them fully. He can't be a sounding board for free speech, engineer rockets, cars, power supplies and be a rock star or pseudo politician at the same time. Something has to give and most of us want his irritating ways to disappear.

Let’s get a grip! This is not a political post.

This is about 2 terrible CEOs purposely destroying companies from within. The only difference is that at least Elon is doing it with his own money vs Charlie doing it with shareholder’s money.

@1djd buying a company for $44 Billion and then valuing it at $20 Billion less than a year later is "doing a great job"?

No wonder you love this management team.
