So glad I left Nike 2 years ago! Happier than ever, healthier, WFH fulltime, and making more money. Remember, the best time to find a new job is while you are employed. Use this time wisely.

@8jmc Employees did in fact ask for less bureaucracy and more streamlined operations. When they asked for that in surveys they just didn’t know that the way you streamline things is to involve fewer people. Nike is still pretty bloated with 77,000 employees. Most of those are in retail but HQ is without a doubt richly staffed. Next time we have a recession, and combined with the fact that AI can now do a scary amount of tasks that are entire job titles, you’ll see Nike get much leaner in the future.
Can’t wait for the next “you asked for this” speech from our overlord drowning in cash.
Scrum master is a role not a job, I am not sure what they do with their time or what value they bring. This happened in tech a while ago.

Read the writing on the wall. Stop wasting your money on stupid cr-p and come up with a backup plan. Nikes tightening its belt, you better too.
