Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Return to Office = 3 Day Weekends!!!

Let’s all be sure to cram all work into three days on-site, and then endeavor to block, at least, Fridays, without guilt.

Cut my salary while inflation is raging, but preserve dividends for stockholders? You’re getting nothing above the bare minimum from me. What for? To hold onto my job at a sinking ship for 18 months longer than the next guy?

@bhz, exactly .. too many entitled buffoons.
I am very annoyed at the company for cutting my pay and also have no line of sight to raises. No incentive to work harder. But if the company wants me to come to work for better collaboration, I would do that. I still need to earn my pay. You still need to be a team player.

@1paf+1mqtJamB Cupcake? Oh you like that eh? No fear ... I'll still be here (not planning on dying or retiring any time soon) watching all you "quiet quitters" pack your sad lives into cardboard boxes and walk out the ... oh wait ... you'll get an email.

I've got a nagging wife with a kid and i can't find time to meet my office girlfriend because of WFH. Great decision by ELT. I believe there's a god

@nkl Please, Ge---r. The cupcake-dropping on every post is tiring. If you aren’t going to drop dead at work so we can all talk about you, at least retire?

This kind of “creativity” is indicative of why Intel is in the situation it’s in. That doofus is probably a Grade 12 or above, but can’t come up with anything more insulting, amusing, or unique than calling everyone a cupcake??

Employees working from home having been putting in substantially more hours than they were pre-COVID.

LOL. Sure. "Working" from home! Good story bro!

Oh, you're hourly now?

Being on salary doesn't mean your employer owns you.

Employees working from home having been putting in substantially more hours than they were pre-COVID. Expecting everybody to be happy about putting in those same increased hours, having less personal time, and wasting hours commuting (and all for less pay!) is asinine.

I don’t know why he thinks this will be helpful. We now work 6-6. So then I will have to fit commute time in there instead of working. It’s going to hurt the productivity and time overlap with Asia. Oh well, if it’s what Pat thinks he wants give it to him.

Intel announced a dividends cut of 66% just a couple weeks after the 5% - 25% salary cut was announced.

I was laid off from Intel 5 weeks ago when my group was cut. Too bad they didn't get rid of more disgruntled entitled buffoons like you instead.

Not to mention, I would be auto-declining any meeting that goes past 5:01PM. WFH also means often working in the evenings, or even on the weekends.
