Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Mary Mack

Please explain why Mary Mack is traveling the country talking about her successful 40 years with the bank. Wasn’t she involved in the scandal of the bank opening all the fraudulent accounts ? How is she still employed here? Isn’t she a criminal by stealing bonus money from the company?

Why was she not fired!

Ego maniac, only reason she would tour talking about herself.

5wmy is a troll or charlie sucking his bottle. You have no clue troll what you are talking about. She is just as worthless as the rest of the suits. You have no idea what you are blubbering about. Go back to bed

I love the person who claims to "report to her". Guessing that you are not one of the 12 Executives that report to her.

I'm also guessing you are about 10 layers removed from Mary Mack and your interactions with her are limited to rumors, innuendo, and the occasional Town Hall. Not exactly an inside source.

Don't know her personally myself, but I don't recall ever hearing anyone say something bad about her as a leader or person. Her reputation is sterling. And no, she wasn't involved in any of the scandals.

But let's not have facts get in the way of an ill-informed rant.

How much are they wasting on these post roles for these horrible useless execs? She gets a cushy alumni role now that’s never been done before and Lester Owens gets a consultant job to sit at home. Typical Wells Fargo only looking after the top brass.

@1eqd+1mslCVgj Makes you wonder how big the layoff waves are about to get. It’s not like she’s going to reach out to people who left before she does, right?

Pay attention, they’re telling you exactly what’s about to happen.

At least she doesn't look at WF employees that started before 2019 as the enemy.

No, she was in WIM when all of that s**t was going down in the community bank

She was brought in to clean it up after the sales scandal broke.

You people who think she is a kind old sweet woman are stupid and easily fooled. I report to her and I will tell you she is an evil person who is two faced and will throw anyone under a bus. She has you fooled stupid if you think she is here for our best interest. You have to love employees like you loving on her. Report to her and you will experience her two sided views.

Don't be fooled. MM was one of the most two-faced execs at Wells Fargo. Sweet and kind on news stories and internal PR but called people 'stupid' in meetings - regularly told people to shut up. She was highly dismissive of anything new or innovative. She could only manage status quo.

I believe they’re gonna keep paying her after she retires, too, for leading the new ex-employee group.

She was the leader of ISG/WBS and then all of WFA during the scandal years. She came in to run the bank after the scandal blew up.
