Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The grass was way greener on the other side for me

I spent three freaking years at Honeywell. In that time, I had to deal with a manager who couldn't manage a paper bag, sales goals that were impossible to hit, and a team that was straight-up toxic. All of this took a toll on my body, mind, and soul. I have to add, my relationships suffered big time. I finally left last summer and it was the best decision of my life. I'm never going back to that mess!

Leave the company at your earliest convenience. I worked the ladder to the C-Suite and dreaded each day. GL was a narcissist and believed you need to stick out roles where there are horrible managers... it constitutes your success in his words. The grass is greener on the other side and I now work for former Honeywell C-suiters... life is great and you get valued.

Same here. If I had to go back to Hon, I'd really be desperate. I got more money. Less stress, better benefits, more lateral and vertical freedom to do, flexible schedule, remote work options, close up parking, company sincerity, and more. Hon is a dumpster fire, it's work and has great potential to mean so much... but then there's that corporate toxicity add in. Good luck to those still there.

Same here. Was a B4 and been out for several months. Got real toxic before I left. The pivot from VK years before to move ops to offshore began the decline. Failed new tech offerings shipping half baked products. Then sales verticalization alignment alienated our long established customer base with their preferred salesman. Watered down sip plans started the attrition of good Salesforce. Incoming sales were out of industry, coupled with the worst onboarding training program and lack of mentorship leads to little orders. Which in turn does not fill the gas tank for ops. Continued RIFs will lead to lack of critical mass in several areas, even more challenging environments with poor moral. Im battle hardened and has been refreshing to look forward to work in the mornings. No more senseless teams calls. Sleep easy.

I have yet to hear of anyone say otherwise.

Good for you! I’m trying to leave and am going to be hopeful with every application that I put in. I started my career at Honeywell committed to this company. I was one of the people who would defend this company and was very optimistic. The way I have been treated here and the way I’ve seen others being treated has completely changed my mind. This place is he-l.
