What jobs besides drilling are available for mid career people?

Drill from India.
OP, those jobs are reserved for the employees in India. As Darren transfers all jobs to India they need to learn how to run the company from there. So, unless you are based in India you can forget about rotations.
Those jobs now go to BTC personnel.
Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft, Ford, VW, etc. Lots of jobs for early, mid, and late career if you are technical and qualified, if you are on the management track, you’ll need to stay at XOM, and keep swallowing.
28/28 …. Best schedule in the industry. I did it for over 30 years before retiring from EM. Pay was great. I worked a second non petroleum job on days off to make even more money. Worked over 30 countries while my family remained in The Woodlands. Many of the countries I rotated to you would not want to live family status.
Make sure it’s an official rotation and that you have a named back-to-back.
Be prepared to miss holidays, anniversaries, births, etc. I can tell you how many Christmas mornings I woke to with a bunch of grubby guys instead of my family.

There’s not too many left but there are some within Upstream production with First and Second Operations supervisors but mostly places like Nigeria, PNG or Guyana. You will be offshore or at the plant for the 28day hitch.
