Received my statement and it shows I got paid for 31.52 hrs for work thru May 4….shouldn’t it be 32 hrs? In the grand scheme of things not a lot of money but annoying…maybe part of some bean counter’s plan to save a little money on the numbers let go counting on people not seeing this or thinking it’s not worth calling up to see what happened

That’s BS if it’s calculated in that way …it should be calculated based on yearly compensation divided by 365*14 days/80 hrs to get an hourly rate for work done…not that hard but mo--ns apparently make the rules
There are 23 workdays in May, which is more than most months (I think it is the maximum workdays you can have in a month). You are not paid hourly, but the paycheck lists hours rather than fractions of a month because it is easier to understand. Since there are 23 workdays, 4/23 = 0.1739, so you should get 17.39% of your monthly salary.
