The head of Tech prior to Saul - Scott someone - had an article that a teller posted a comment saying he looked like Lex Luthor the Superman villain. That was the best! 😂🤣
it all blew up whenever the clown executive in charge of compensation posted some article, and everyone came out of the woodwork posting about how they hardly ever got any raise each year, etc. That was the first thread that was ever locked from allowing people to post additional comments.
There were 3-4 people that would post and get others riled up. This would cause people to report posts, then those that were reported retaliated and reported other posts. When you would report a post it would go hidden until moderator would review and either approve or delete. So then the bank had a to staff bunch of people spending all their time reviewing posts like a reddit moderator and it was deemed, and rightfully so, a waste of salary. Had people posted constructive, thoughtful feedback, instead of personal attacks and anger, we still might have the ability to comment. A few bad apples definitely spoiled it.
The controversial topics had the funniest comments. Like the article about using an employee's preferred pronouns. Never in a million years would I comment, but it was entertaining.
I haven't heard a single person yet that used the term "the firm" that shouldn't be fired as dead weight.
I'm a regulated user and we could still see the comments, we just couldn't post. I would bet they could set that up, it's just easy to cast blame that way.
I couldn't believe what some people would post for the world to see and how they stayed employed.

As someone who has a couple of SharePoint sites to manage, we've been told that comments, which can be done in a variety of places in M365, are turned off due to compliance concerns. Many users are "regulated" and they're not allowed this alternate form of communication. I'm not saying that comments on public sites/pages on Team works weren't problematic for the company, but they now have a compliance reason to turn them off as well.
The comment sections were an absolutely toxic place. With that said I loved it. There's one commenter that stood above the rest and he's still here. Genuinely can't believe they didn't make up a reason to fire him.

Goo is one of those trolls that wants to make people think the minority hate Wells Fargo. It is a huge majority that hates Charlie and what he has done. The suits don’t want any feedback or comments as they know how people hate this place
I do. The legacy media is doing the same. That way they can gaslight people without any pushback from the people that see through the BS.

Yeah, I remember that. The comments were similar to the comments here. And it was just one or two people who probably should have just quit WF that ruined it for everyone else.
