Just like Cloud, this is all "me, too." And just like Cloud, this will be an also ran. Watson was among the most serious 15 years ago. Then came the humiliating debacle of trying to get it to cure cancer. In the meantime, other players entered and occupied the space. At the retail level, no one considers IBM to be a player. At the enterprise level, it remains to be seen how much value SAP (and others) gain.
Adding a blue X to the end of the name (and coming up with a sleight of hand to make it a 3 pillar product) really is just marketing buzz.
Bo-m? For IBM it will be more like a bo-b.
Its just another marketing gimmick with Arvind’s name on it.
IBM is well oiled management machines and does these events from time to time to generate some buzz.
