Layoff pre-notification = Theft of company property!

ACE has double digit millions being spent on systems, paying Accenture handsomely while no one is paying attention to the fact there is no return on investment. Such a waste of money - no oversight…
ACE leadership drinking kool aid & believing or not aware of fictitious business cases. We need stronger leadership that understands systems but that will not happen because they don’t have a clue / don’t pay attention. Until then, this will cost jobs as company doesn’t consider this savings as real and instead prefers to lay off people who really work and aren’t just a pass through org to spend a fortune with developers in India.

Surely there is no FRAUD. AT&T hammers the COBC down to the lowest level. This guidance must certainty percolate up to "leadership".

We in ACE have been targeted on each and every layoff. We are sick and tired of it and are not gonna take it no more. Stankey go find another group to target. We have given our fair share. Go put your targets on other workgroups backs that have never been targeted.

Specifically told that impacted groups would not be pre notified.

The whole point of a layoff is to reduce headcount. Finding a new job within the company is done.

“ How can we find another position within the company that fast?”

I think you answered your own question.

@1xlq+1mzl6laT -- Notified just on the 22 of June then off payroll on July 6? Is there going to be any pre notification of an impacted work group? How can we find another position within the company that fast?

This is pretty much company wide at this point. Layoffs coming in significant numbers in the general time frames stated in this post, with even more next quarter also. Free cash flow at T sux. Outside HR Consultants hired by att as anonymous hitmen are crawling around in your org data very heavily right now. I know this. All orgs exposed. We can only hope it hits 3rd levels and above hard. Considerable fat there, 20% cut in those levels wouldn't hurt the company any. Good luck.

At least those affected will get one last major holiday on the payroll.

If you are 2nd level though 4th level and reading this, you can prepare for your layoff. If you are a 2nd level though 4th level who has not read this, get ready for your surprize!

VP level and above is what I consider upper management since there is enough of them that aren't really needed. This company is definitely too top heavy!

Paul Singer of Elliott Management who bought 3 billion dollars of shares, brought in Bill Morrow as a consultant stated after working with "leadership" for months stated unequivocally that AT&T was top heavy and should NOT try to acquire any more companies. We are still so very top heavy. Time to trim the fat at the top. It is scary, a lot of AT&T executives are going to lose their homes due to the fact that they are not needed. So what. I'll toss you a quarter when you are on the corner with you family.

I heard all layoffs were cancelled for the remainder of the year. So, no one need check in until next Jan to see what is going on.

“ As long as it's upper management that's on the chop block, who cares!”

What’s your definition of upper management?

100% incompetent and uncaring management. Sambar says one month that there will be no more layoffs this year, Kertz says a month or so later there will be, and there will definitely be now - and this is only 2 months after the last one! They dgaf about the employees - not their morale, not their stress levels/health, nothing. Jack@sses

Per April ACE TH, due to Q1 earnings report and free cash flow, headcount would have to be reduced.

They need all of us in ACE to design and build out the 5G and fiber. We will be here for many years to come.

Why surplus when you can use productivity numbers to bounce out the door? Locally management has been finding any nit to document.
