Absolutely agree.
I have lost so much time having to recover from DUO ki-ling my tabs so that I can not go back to get to the page I lost.
On the inside the work I do involves multiple windows and linux machines that can no longer access resources that my work depends on.
Instead I am now stuck with a laptop that is terrible hobbled by resource glutenous Cisco software.
Productivity has dropped so much because of the companies kneejerk overreaction to a breach caused by the greed of wanting to operate in openly hostile countries.
Seriously looking for other opportunities where IT actually has their act together and no duo, though things may be just as bad with other MFAs.

Cisco has great critical management processes, but they have laid off many of their key people that really made things happen behind the scene to automate them. It is going to only get worse. Processes mean nothing if people don't understand and follow them.

Utterly clueless they paid this for Duo. Unfathomable. Just shows how rudderless security has become at Cisco. Big on talk, PPT and “architectures” and short on deliverables. MS and Google MFA Authenticators can do 99% of what Duo can almost for free.

Outage from SDWAN last month, now Duo making mess in big stage at Cisco Live.

@1pyq+1n1XVTxi, who the he-l is downvoting your comment?! Must be someone from the Duo team.

What I find the most annoying when you have lots of tabs open when you're forced to reboot to install an OS update or Security patch, or in the case of Windows, any update. Windows 11 and macOS are getting better at re-launching apps that were open when you shut down, and every major browser has the ability to resume a session and restore all your tabs. My issue comes in due to many of the pages I have open require a VPN connection, but it's not active when the browsers re-open. So they won't reload, but at least they'll reconnect once the VPN connection is established.

But then Duo has to get in the way and ensure that my auth session hasn't expired and tries to renew it if it has, except that it can't w/o the VPN and then I can't hit the back button to go back to my previous page and the Duo auth session is expired. I've lost count of the number of times I've been on a web page for a case ticket or something like that so I don't have it bookmarked and now it's forever lost.

Duo is the bane of my work day.

Duo = the most annoying intrusion into getting your job done ever,, especially how setup insides Cisco. So annoying. Constant interruptions when moving from resource to resource trying to do stuffs.

Duo went down for a little over an hour from 12:30 - 1:30 ET. The funniest part was you couldn't see the status page because it required Duo auth!

I bet that was a fiasco during Cisco Live.
