Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Laid off in recent round of job cuts?

Hi there! I'm a business journalist working with Bank Automation News, and I'm looking into the wave of layoffs that has recently hit many major banks, including Bank of America. If you were laid off in BofA's last round of cuts and would be interesting in having a chat, please reach out! You can DM on Twitter @vicswezey or reach me by email at vswezey@royalmedia.com.

Please investigate how banks layoff thousands of people and keep it out of the press. Transparency is lacking from big banks on hiring, layoff, firing practices.

Age discrimination. Moving older more senior employees to glorified telemarketing jobs to force them to quit. Harass, demoralize, micromanage until they leave. Sever their annual bonus, no more cost of living raise. Hire younger replacements at half the pay rate. This is how it's done, Vic. The bank has suffered a major loss of talent, experience.

This company is not laying off but they are making our lives miserable with the incompetent leadership. I have worked at other companies before where the leaders were competent and you respected their authority. The leadership here consist of azz kissers and meeting the diversity requirement mofos. I am tired of being on conference calls with non-English speaking mofos.

Lately I have been working with a lot of new contractors who don't know anything about our SDLC system. I guess disgruntled employees never bothered to train them or hand off anything when they left. So now we have a bunch of clueless people who don't know anything, likely paid at $80/hour

I’m definitely being pushed out after 12 years. I’ve been moved to special projects and all of my other high profile work was distributed across the team. I’ll be the can you do guy until I can’t stand it anymore. Don’t get me wrong Mr Vic, I love Bank of America the company. I really do. It’s the trickle down favoritism that I see in my area. Because if this, I would welcome a layoff with some severance. If you know of upcoming layoffs from your media contacts please let us all know!

What journalists should investigate is why BofA always forces associates to take the employee survey and they share the results… but they weren’t transparent about results from last year and instead, they claimed everyone is clawing to return to the office. 😂😂

Did you hear about natural attrition? That is being used to force you out without paying you the severance. All kinds of schemes are used to archive the goal.
