Read about it, live by it. Just a suggestion.

Yes, i'll put in 50% of the effort that hans puts in for 50% of the total comp (~$10M)... silly comment.

If people put in 50% effort of what Hans puts in everyday the stock would soar above 100.

It always made me wonder that we are always told that we need to be "best in class" "market leader", "go above and beyond" etc. and so forth....Yet when it comes to benefits and compensation it is always "market average". I do not see how you can expect "best in class" and "market leader" for only "market average."

During the 2018 voluntary layoff, some one who accepted and decided to go, told me that "THIS IS A THANKLESS JOB". I realized during the last few years how correct that person was.

Merely doing the job and not going above and beyond in current verizon environment is a sure formula to get your name in the layoff list, as twice the amount of work is there for layoff survivors. Go aheah and do that,,, if that is what you want.

There is no need to go above and beyond. No one would appreciate it anyway. You only get one paycheck. Do One Job.

Quiet Quitting is just doing the job you are paid to do, nothing more. It is seen as derogatory by management who try to squeeze more work out of you than you are being compensated for.

Call it what it is, just doing your job. Would we give customers more service than they pay for?

Maybe because I am 50, but I googled this and the definition basically describes doing your job? Not going above and beyond. How is that quitting?
