So what does short term contracting outlook right now?

I'm not looking for any "benchable" position.

I'm looking to pick up one or two quarterly contracts per year. Either W-2 or pref C-C

Does IBM do that? Through agencies or?

Agreed partners and also get rid of CICs , I know for a fact that Baton Rouge, LA has a large bench resources just sitting, no certs or nothing.

It’s wild how much gaming the voting is happening on this thread.

The whole company is pretty much at breaking point and people are fearing their jobs disappearing every day.

I guess we know that part of HR’s job at IBM is to down vote comments LOL

And as a previous poster pointed out the down vote gamesmanship just makes IBM look foolish

Don’t pay attention to down votes, it is meaningless. Do pay attention to the comments. The down votes are just meant to be disruptive and discourage posting. Don’t bite.

The best decision you will ever make is to not pursue a job at IBM. There will be no raises, no promotions and no bonuses and as much as you may be lead to believe it’s a great company, your employee number will eventually land on a RA spreadsheet likely through no fault of your own.

The RA vs a PIP has profound implications for IBM consulting. PIP is assigned as you are not meeting performance numbers (usually bench time) RA says IBM has decided to exit that business, OR has found a cheaper alternative so you can be eliminated. I suspect, since it’s an RA, that it’s IBM consulting doing a little bit of both. Offshoring, and refining what businesses they want to play in (essentially shaping the consulting force to the fortune 1500)

They should RA everyone with the word Partner in their title. They are a total waste of resources.
