Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I feel more confident about layoffs happening now

I have been a long time follower of this site --
One aspect that can be, somewhat, annoying is the constant prediction on when layoffs will begin (I can find many threads going back to earlier this year predicting "layoffs are coming soon"). I don't mind predicitions or gossip, but I'm usually looking for some info to back up these constant claims.

So, here is some info I received --
You should see that your LL5+ has a bunch of "work inventory" meetings scheduled. These meetings are essentially a work inspection of what duties/reaponibilities you have, and potentially, what can be shipped to other departments (eg Chennai).
These were placed on calendars without much notice, and are due to be completed next week.

This lines up with an end of month culling. When I asked my LL4 about these meetings he started off by saying "Well, this is what I'm allowed to say...." , which was basically a watered down version on what I shared above.

If anyone else has tangible evidence then please do share.

Look out only for yourself/family and put some applications out for some protection --- no matter how 'safe' you might feel.

There is literally no way it can be June 26th due to the short time around for quarterly reporting. Last week of july will make more sense

June 26th is correct, just look at a few LL5 calendars .
Prior to that date their will be staff meetings with the LL6's.
On 6/26, one can observe meetings with 15 minutes intervals.
The day or a couple days after one will see meetings more staff meetings.
Prior to there have also been meetings about "resource planning", maybe started a couple weeks before and an every other week meeting.

Are you the same person that said it was definitely happening in April? 🙄

It’s happening across the board the week of June 26. All areas are impacted and no one is safe. It’s going to be nasty. If you’re still in doubt and asking for supporting evidence then you’re an id--t. If you have anything personal on your laptop then you have few days to clean it up. Good luck everyone.

It’s not your model e. You are no better than the copy machine next to your rent a desk. Remember that.

While I have total confidence in our leadership and their decisions, I have heard rumors in my Model e department of work load meetings between all of our LLx's. Layoffs should be off the table for Model e as it is critical to Ford's future. I am concerned, but supportive of management.

@OP+1n90GqlQ The LL4s on up were asked to sign another round of NDAs a few weeks back. It will happen but when? Lots of evidence is pointing to June.

The nail in the coffin for me was
When they made sure to mention all the new young graduates they hired.

That was the final nail, and now it’s just a waiting game
