There needs to be some monetary allocation to site cleanliness. The office space reeks of coffee stench and leftover food. Some office cubes have used coffee mugs left unattended for days.

Our admin sent out an email telling people not to leave used cafeteria trays/dishes at desk because we had issues with flies. I suspect those same employees then left their trays/dishes at her cube because she then sent an email telling everyone to take trays/dishes back to the cafeteria.
That state of mind contributes to Intel's current situation. Too many employees think they are above doing menial work and only want to participate in "high visibility" projects.
Of course, I blame this culture on our fake-it-until-you-make-it middle management. They are incapable of rewarding solid work because they don't recognize it or its importance.

I remember when some employees would tie up a break room sink for 10-minutes rinsing out their coffee mugs. They'd fill it with hot water, dump, rinse and repeat a few hundred times wasting several gallons of water.
I thought it was lazy of them considering that there was a brush and dish soap sitting next to the sink right in front of them.
It sounds like people have gotten even lazier.
There is a good reason they call it RN.BO
Don't worry, RTO has mostly started to kick in. These office dwellers might clean up their pig styes eventually
