The two best takeaways from the article:

"AT&T leadership was completely out of its depth, refused to take any advice, and blinded by the kind of hubris developed over a generation of being a government-pampered telecom monopoly."

"AT&T’s attempt to pivot from stodgy old telco to modern video advertising juggernaut completely collapsed anyway under the weight of its ego and incompetence ..."

I'm angry at myself for not leaving the company sooner. I was so absorbed in my "high performing" job that I didn't realize just how terrible the top was and should have known it all trickles down (the one time where you can guarantee trickle down economics).
