Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Outdoor Tents is true along with Boxed Lunch service and wait

They thought people would be excited about free bottled water and $1 soft drinks. The level lack of of self awareness is comical. In order to encourage Friday they tossed around the idea of Free Fridays where’s boxed lunches and drinks would be on the company.

" OP— What are some ideas you have to make things better? You complain but bring no solutions to the table. "

Not the OP but I'll take a crack at a possible solution: Allow people to either work from home, or work in the nearest hub city even if it's not their work-group.

Gee, that wasn't so hard, was it? Of course, that's because I offered a solution to a problem rather than simply create a problem.

Here is a solution don't try to hastily force everyone into 9 hubs, necessitating awkward and demotivating working conditions. You act as if it is all on the employees to mitigate the chaos produced by Stankey's clueless ideas for "big changes". Here is a constructive solution, when it comes to surplus, start at the top.

they want an outdoor tent so you have to swipe out of the building and not get your hours in.

“ None of the AT&T buildings I've been to has a cafeteria for employees to hang out.”

HQ has an enormous cafeteria with several food stations to choose from.

I am not OP, but I think a real indoor cafeteria will be a better solution than this ad-hoc outdoor tent thing. Before I became an AT&T employee, the site I worked on had a cafeteria offering lunch with a good variety of food. It made a huge difference for employees to socialize and collaborate there daily during lunch hours or coffee breaks. It also improves productivity by saving employee's time and gas to go out to eat. None of the AT&T buildings I've been to has a cafeteria for employees to hang out.

OP—

I’m not OP but how effing embarrassing this is! CEO in corporate jets and caddy SUV convoys white the workers are outside in a hot parking lot under tents like war torn Serbia. Get a grip! I have a solution. We stay WFH.

If they can just move it over to the swap meet we can collaborate better under their tarps. Have some street tacos and wash them down with horchatas for lunch. Take a leak in the porta potty’s. Wow how innovating and productive.
