Board of Directors wanted Hertz to fund the race team for one reason, the race team is owned by Knighthead or Zatoria ... Let's play with Hertz money to fund the race team...
If I had to guess - it will be August; the layoffs are in waves for a reason. This way, they can avoid WARN notices. Biggest costs are EV's and the race team and Hertz won't back away from either. They planted their flag on the EV initiative and the Board of Directors wanted Hertz to fund the race team.
I hear Deloitte is coming to manage Procurement workload. Lay off the employees and pay $350/hour for contractors to come and do their job. This place is ridiculous.

That explains why we havent gotten our raises yet which we were promised since March...Also thats why we havent had uniforms in yrs and now we can just wear anything black grey or white....hmm
And EV is the golden child so its not going away. Save yourself from a layoff and start looking NOW!
Last year it was late August. The company is sustaining heavy loses in maintenance, damage, and everything related to EV charging costs.
