I am surprised that there are people here who believe that it is still possible for someone new to come to the top and finally fix this mess.. I believe that things have gone too far and that it is now too late!?

Why would John Stratton decide to come back to Verizon - a sinking ship?? For the love of the union?
Stratton
I honestly cannot think of a single 'leader' above director level who has any telecom chops. Sad.
The EVPs are toast. Up the road is Frontier. Speaking of which, the wisest thing right now would be to bring back Alan Gardner to run HR. Then I would acquire/merge with Zayo and let Steve Smith be the CEO and President of the combined companies. Stock would be over 60 in three years.

Terrified, who not SVPs, and EVPs?

Who is it that is up the road? Name?
Think about it. There really is no one in charge that really has a telecom background. Field telecom. Customer-facing telecom.
Think about it. A failed CEO and accountant from a foreign telecom parts provider is leading the company along with a lawyer and a consultant. What could possibly go wrong? Just because these gents own phones does not mean they know how to operate a phone company. Just sayin!
Han's team only knows about the customer and the services in an abstract and theoretical sense. His people never get dirty. Never really meet the people for whom a broken connection or no Internet can destroy their lives.
The smartest move is to bring back some of the older execs, and you know who we are talking about who lost out on the CEO job. He has seen and mostly fixed the same issue with another company just up the road.
Also - The Street would likely meet that appointment with applause, albeit there will be many terrified VPs and Directors.
Stock is down 31% in a 52 week span. I thought shareholders were in control??
Can’t wait to hear 2nd Qtr numbers and BS from above!!
