RTO letters

Any info if they are still targeting end of month for RTO letters to be sent?

If you are part of wave 1 (this year) you should be asked in a letter if you are relocating with your job, I believe the timeframe to respond is 30 days. They after that, if you said no you will be surplused at a later date, some immediately some will be given a longer time depending on their job

Got mine. It basically said I'm toast.

I think some of this is BS. I was told if you’re more than 50 miles from the office they want you to be at, you get severance.

“Your new job will be at X location beginning X date.”

Accept- move or be terminated.

Decline- of over 50 miles receive severance. But the company chooses your last day, not you.

No relocation, no severance if choosing not to follow the work.

"We got our letters early and it just says your current location and then your future destination if it's different from your current location. The letter states your job is being backfilled in the future location...basically you aren't being relocated (avoids relocation services). Also states no relocation services are offered."

Wow, that su-ks. So there's no way for us to get a severance package either?

any words on relocation and severance? if you are with the company less than a year and have some sign on bonus, will you get to keep it if you decide not to relocate.

That was the plan, or so we were told. I noticed my occupancy indicator was updated and now reads FTO, but don't know what city. Still no comments from my supervisor.

"Yes I am being told Friday my group will be getting calls from our director saying if we are surplussed or safe"

You mean, surplussed or forced to move across country on your own dime only to be likely laid off in another 6 months.

Yes I am being told Friday my group will be getting calls from our director saying if we are surplussed or safe...well as safe as one can be.

Yesterday our manager (FirstNet) said as part of the 'next round of RTO' to tell him which office we preferred if we are not in Dallas or Atlanta but live in a city with more than one AT&T office. So that is very specific to a handful of cities and points to them closing more buildings.

I hope I can go to the office in my city and not have to move. I will gladly RTO instead of moving.

My supervisor told me/sent me my designation already for Mass Markets, I guess we will get an official notification this week? What if there is no change, will we still receive a letter I wonder? I guess we shall find out.
