I try not to worry ahead of time, however, it is hard not to be anxious when everyone is talking about layoffs, and I have been unsuccessfully looking for a new job for months. I am aware that person can panic under pressure and start imagining things, but it seems to me that I am not the only one who feels that her manager has been behaving very strangely lately, which is a big red flag in my opinion?

Take a deep breath, and keep your head down. We can only control what we can control.
These will be a significant but necessary reorg, due to state of the business.
Dell has carried a heavy, direct sales force for too many years (at least since acquisition of EMC). Legacy Dell Core reps were given storage and server targets (sep. from CSG) for the first time last year. To me, it seemed a step toward readying the total sales org for a significant change. Will they pick the best of both DCS and Core AEs? Idk, I’m just an IC
Dell doesn’t align by verticals, at present. But, by categorization of account (ACQ, SB, MB, Comm, Ent). I would think we will see consolidation of these. And later, develop specializations by Research (AI) accounts, and a select few others.
Dell does a pretty good job of repurposing personal, IF they can afford to do so.
I’m hoping to see stability after this wave. All economic markers suggest this could be the last big reorg for a while. Then, we can all get back to business and profitability. Stay positive! :)
My manager has also been cold to me. I am high performer and was assigned triple work. Now they rarely reply to my emails/questions… 1x1 are always cut short… kind of worried.
Don't over think it. They probably just watched some really weird pron. Now they are nervous someone will find out.

Plans have started rolling down to lower and middle managers. They are rightfully stressed.
