Senior lead risk officer

What’s a fair base salary these days considering the revamp of the bonus structure?

I have 4 senior lead officers reporting to me. 1 is base of $189k, 1 is base of $195, and 1 is base of $206. All area 2. Last one is in area 0 and base is $228k.

Sr officer here.. well under the old mid-point same when I was lead officer. Every single time they have changed title, pay range and bonus payout doen 10% from when I applied to when I was hired. The issue with offers are about the % increase that can be approved if the Head of Business is willing tp pay more. I think the criteria is solely based on % and not actual dollars for internal. They dont have to get permission with outside as long as the pay it tge grossly overstated pay range that was set up arbitrarily for outsiders to replace us.

10 years with the bank, was an ORC 5 in Divisional ORM, role name changed to Lead Control Management Officer no change in pay. They just fired me for cooperating with the EEOC on an investigation of the banks retaliation, pay when fired salary was the same as it's been for 5 years, $151,000.00

The old midpoint used to be 215,000 before schart reduced all the job titles and bonuses down.

@flo+1nFnCEnX Good point. If you're a woman, don't even bother at this company.

I agree with the poster who said senior leads and leads are essentially doing the same thing on a lot of teams. At least on my team when that happens, the senior leads happen to be external hires who were friends with the manager from a past company, and the leads (sometimes even the seniors) are legacy people that have been here a long time and have most of the knowledge.

Previous poster is correct at Sr officer/Mgr level and above there’s no area differential there’s one range. Base is 180-220k plus bonus.

Before I left I was a lead with senior lead responsibilities. I had colleagues who were senior lead who were open about their salaries and yes, the ranges below are correct. My manager dragged his feet on giving me a similar raise but luckily for me a recruiter came along and plucked me for an even higher range.

It’s no coincidence in my view that all the senior leads I’m discussing were men. And no, they did not have more experience, in fact quite the opposite.

If what's been mentioned is even close to what people are making, that's insane. 'Senior' Lead Risk Officers, Compliance Officers, Control Officers, Business Execution Consultants all seem to be the same pay grade in this company. I'm a Lead (not senior lead) and make about $145k base, but there is literally no distinction (in terms of job responsibilities) between me and others in my organization/team that are 'Senior' Leads......so the notion of them making 'somewhere's' north of $60-$130k more in base salary seems difficult to believe. I'm not suggesting no one makes that, but I don't think the masses of 'Senior Lead' level folks have base salaries over $200k. But that's just my opinion and hunch --- enlighten me my fellow layoff.com addicts.

I think once you hit sr lead area differencial ceases. I believe range tops out around 300k so I'd say you're looking at 200-250k depending on many factors plus bonus
