Just got the monthly COO DE&I Office August update e-mail that mentions, "Get Ready for your next role". My next role, thanks to my unfortunate zip code, is standing in the unemployment line.
This, surprisingly, is my first shot of the week.

@dcu+1nGGTr2i, this is a good comment, but for many of us there's no mobility without relocating. This was emphasized by management in a town hall yesterday.
I'm sure I'll get slammed, but I've had great mobility over the years. been promoted multiple times both within my current groups and by changing roles, and each year see my salary and bonus go up. I'm sure I'll hit a wall at some point, but that will likely be when I reach the point where I noonger wish to grow my career.
the bit of advice I give is that you have to push for it. you can't expect it to be handed to you, even if you are doing a good job. After every promotion or role change I ask my manager what I have to do to move to the next role and then keep having that conversation every so often.

We'll all die from alcohol poisoning. Seems like a better way to go than the slow death we're currently experiencing - put me down.
The only mobility in a career at WF is out the door unless you are one of the golden JPM people then you get to go all over and wreck havoc then a golden parachute.
