Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

I am so disappointed

I am not sure who I pity more. Those of you that thought this was a "family" and the company gave a crud about you, or the MDs and Directors who are so self-focused and believe that your title means you are important. The rest of the world does not care what you do for a living. Stop treating us poorly. Be courteous. Be respectful. No, you are not the expert. Ask me how I am doing. Selfish. Yes, I am talking about you I&O. Probably too busy counting your stock awards and bonuses.

Come on. This is obviously a troll post. However, it does hold some grains of truth. There are many I&O Directors at Schwab who behave exactly this way. I would fill out my Glint Survey so my Director could recognize that he has some challenges perhaps. However, since my submission of said survey over the years has yielded ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE in behavior, why bother.

Back to mapping out the ideal path to the office via car.

@lpj+1nGGnLMs - What are you going to teach me? The most affordable place to get that lobotomy?

@lpj+nGGnLMs "here to teach you the RIGHT way to do things"???
You've got to be fu----g kidding me, right? hahahahaha
Only a tool thinks getting to Director means he's (we all know this is a man) some sort of wise corporate Yoda that everyone needs to learn from in order to make it like he did. Be so for fu----g real with yourself right now. It's really, truly not that impressive my guy.

It looks like people are falling for you bait so it is working but be a little more wordy to make it look more legitimate and flex your title a bit more.

@lpj+1nGGnLMs - "we are 100% here to work with you" == Excepting, of course, the expectation of transparent communication, and it goes without saying the prospect of working remotely is off the table. Everything else is negotiable, unless we say it isn't, and in that case you simply have to understand our mystical wisdom that comes from years of worshiping the ground our betters trod upon.

Yeah, I think I'll leave to a company that is not absolutely insane. You go ahead and continue to perform a colonoscopy with your tongue on the nepotistic boomers leading this farce, I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Can you please expand on how in person would be any different than virtual?

LOLOLOLOL "wisdom and coaching". The only reason you got to "this level of success" is by constantly kissing a-s upwards and throwing people under the bus.

Sorry, as a Director in I&O, I take offense to this. We do care and are here to help you progress in your career. And this is why RTO is so vital. We can provide a lot of wisdom and coaching in person instead of our Teams 1:1s. There is a reason we got to this level of success in our career and we are 100% here to work with you. I support Simon and his MDs. While their decisions may frustrate you, it is because you do not see the entire picture. My colleagues and I are here to teach you the right way to do things.
