Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Children in workplace…

Delaware location just sent a memo that prohibits children in office… that wouldn’t be an issue if you let employees wfh instead of forcing people back in the first place, now they are b*tching about an “issue” when you took away the solution by force. It hilarious that that said “we understand” when they clearly don’t…

To "Kids shouldn't be in the office, but nobody should really need to be in the office in 2023".
White-collar workers have always looked for the easy way out. Imagine a single parent in a blue-collar job using the argument that it is 2023 and we should work from home, or a doctor telling their patients you can only reach me remotely (tell that to a mother whose child is sick). If you don't agree with the company, don't work there. Your gripping is not going to change your role or environment.

Kids shouldn't be in the office, but nobody should really need to be in the office in 2023. We have technology that deprecates the corporate office building. Why not have people ride in on horse & buggies just to make life difficult, since hanging on to the past just to inconvenience people is so important to corporate culture? Bring the kids downtown in a covered wagon like it's Oregon Trail. Just don't try to forge the river. That never ends well.

Children have no place in the workplace. Unless your kids can be turned off, they need attention. Kids get bored and are not quiet. They distract others and if they enjoy running and playing games where they are active they can get hurt. Aso, your collegues are not your babysitters. Second, if you want to work WFI, raises, fair opportunities to move up think of joining unions that give you these rights. Third, back to kids up to now most had no problem creating latch key kids, handing them over to their folks OR ARGUING THE case for onsite OR AFFORDABLE childcare. Call your senator, congress person for affordable childcare. Use your vote to get these things rather than gripping about the goose that pays your salaries. From 2010 to 2019 newly minted University graduates frowned and bad mouthed "old staff members" who griped about lack of opportunities, low raises and lack of childcare. Now the show is on the other foot, your are complaining. What changed guys? You got older? Your needs charged, again?

oh look the chase sheep are finally speaking up. I am at another bank but noticed how awfully quiet your guys' page is. it's always refreshing to see people speak their minds and be, you know, a human.

The DE location actually has a daycare onsite. People must be taking them up to the office.

Even prior to covid, the office cubicle was never your personal daycare. That’s why actual daycares exist.

Why should you be entitled to what you want. Omg....I hope you don't really work for Chase.
