There wasn’t, unless it was brief and I missed it. So so many comments during the meeting posting LinkedIn info…

You’d have to be an id--t to waste an hour of your life on a check-in.
"You forgot religious, which is where the real sociopaths go"
That's true! I read a book on how narcissists in rural America prey on people through the church. Guess whose father was a preacher? CR
"Show me a senior leader of any large institution that isn't deranged. Corporate, academic, or government... you can't have ethics or morals in American institutions."

"Show me a CEO of a company worth over $200B where this isn't the case. I've been waiting years for an answer yet no one has ever provided one."

It goes back to predators & prey. Some humans are capable of horrible things but need to hide within large institutions.
The ceo is narcissistic...

The ceo is narcissistic, but he didn’t even bother showing up to this one. Normally he just sort of phones it in and lets his minions run the call anyway.
After this sad check-in by a narcissistic CEO , no wonder 90% of Cisco employees have another job or work an hour or two for a few days a week
I still believe in “The People Deal” …

Fran is in a new room every time. How many mansions does she own?
Fran is the Comical Ali of the HR world. The world is burning around her but she has made her money, it keeps rolling in, and she loves the high life on the Cisco PJ meeting the glitterati at Davos and other corporate jollies.
It was such a trash checkin. Lot’s of hand-wavy AI talk and ESG. Fran literally had like 2 or three sentences about the layoff stuff at the very end. Employees are just chess pieces that leadership moves around to maximize the stock price and get their big ELT bonus!
Check-in Summary: Lady with 20 minutes of climate change word salad, Arnold Schwarzenegger transformation dude, LC trying to convince everyone Cisco is relevant in AI, Fran closing with I-feel-your-pain message.
Fran mentioned that they were able to reassign many of those people "who raised their hand". Interesting turn of phrase. I don't recall my management asking for volunteers or giving any update on "restructuring".
Fran gave a quick explanation that it was tied to the announcement from Dec. She said for many teams they needed more time decide who needed to be impacted
they waited until about 15 minutes after it was supposed to wrap, then gave some non-answer about "trying to re-place people". seems like that's all they are willing to address. complete waste of time
