Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Are we in 2nd layoffs wave or still in 1st wave?

Just wondering

Much like a dining experience at Taco Bell, no one is sure how the digestive tract will respond to a chalupa, enchirito, or Mexican pizza… the diarrhea comes in unpredictable waves. So too with Intel HR and the layoffs… hold on tight, flush often, and hope for the best.

It's still the 1st wave and it's mostly surgical (i.e. cutting entire product lines). As always, ELT planning is September, so the next wave will start in mid to late Q4 if not 1H24. Expect the next wave to be "peanut butter" instead of surgical.

HR can't do science or engineering but they are definitely the 2nd most important group at Intel compared to our unskilled illustrious management. It is a toss up as to who solves the least number of problems.

Layoffs will continue until only HR will be left.

There are no waves. It will be an ongoing thing.
