Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I have faith in our leadership

They know what they're doing. If more of you felt this way and supported them, maybe VZ would be doing better.

Simply, only reason, net income higher, because of the rapid reduction to employee headcounts.

Will the quarterly corporate dividend be sustainable???????????????

Will his quarterly corporate dividend ever be increased again, and if so how soon????

And the proof of the pudding is that revenue has not increased but Net Income is still on target means that customers, quality, and employees are getting crushed to meet the street's expectations. Earnings management at its finest!

Let's hear it for Hapless Hans and his short-bus leadership team. Never before in the history of telecom has anyone worked or woked as hard to wrestle defeat from the jaws of victory. Being able to take down the Number #1 Network in the nation and then rent it out on the cheap to any and all competitors and eliminating the company's competitive advantage will be studied in Harvard Business cases for decades. The Street figured this guy out a quarter or two before Ellis left, but his absence let everyone know that there is no one serious in charge at Verizon.

If I’ve learned one thing from them saying how important it is that nothing I do especially any extra hours or weekends of work matter at all.

Hansy the Swedish meatball took over in 2018. Stock price around 50. He immediately signs a billion dollar contract with India/infy and lays off thousands of knowledgeable, experienced American VZ workers (replaced by Infy/India). Infy/India accomplish absolutely nothing in 5 years. Stock is now in the 30s. He brings in Sammy who will replace MORE American VZ workers with more Indians. So in 5 more years, stock should be in the low 20s, if we are lucky.

Joke post just to get a rise out of people to comment.
The stock price tells you all you need to know about the leadership.
Why do you think Matt Ellis left.

Dude, we’ve been supporting our leadership time and again. Despite this, despite all their bad decision-making, their only go to strategy is to remove the people that actually are doing the job and keeping the business going. If they call themselves leaders, this is the time they need to show up! Not in words, but by actions. Our leaders should start rolling up their sleeves. They should be the one selling and promoting Verizon. Instead of just giving up and showing they themselves doesn’t believe in what they say.

I have “faith” I will absolutely win the power ball for $1billion…not. Verizon is not Jesus. You can all the faith you can muster up and Verizon will still fail you. I have been surplused over 7 times from Bellsouth, ATT and Centurylink/Lumen… seem to on a broken record. See what faith I had to keep losing my job due to a stupid union that ranks you by seniority not by work ethic or hard work!

You have to be kidding me! What leadership and which one of them has any technical knowledge. They have little to no clue how to do business in the USA. Trying to make VZ emulate over seas model. Remember Hans and Erickson as they were tanking along Hans under investigation when he left!
