I'm a LoPo at -5 CL. If you can't be on top just be on the bottom 🤪🤣

It's different for different functions e.g. different in Product Solutions vs. Upstream vs. EMIT

Across HR.... Functional HiPo = 38
EMTEC, LCS, Upstream also pay close attention to 36's and some 34's

If you have to ask, you’re not one. Move on.

HiPo's will be lucky to make it to CL-29 in the 21st Century. All CL group responsibilities will be reduced by two CL groups going forward.

Only a hipo or an xom paid influencer would come to a layoff site and ask such a question and look at the answers!

The further the country of origin, the more worthless the degree from joe blow college is and the level of ignorance determine the cl potential. Xom likes em super mentally challenged with an attitude.

COED (VPs) review the career plans, next assignments, approve assignments, etc for people with stewarded potential (33+)
There are other senior technical roles also that are also exec level (30-32) though if that is your potential, you are probably stewarded at the department head/discipline manager level. But still at least someone has you on radar.

33 is Chief (doesn’t mean need that to go into role but 30-33 is the position CL range). Not exactly considered hipo but is a stewarded potential since the system does acknowledge importance of those technical exec roles (regardless of some comments on this site)

It’s over 30, but this isn’t a real term in supervisor world. When people are over 30, you take an extra look at their career development to attempt to steward their careers so they could actually get over 30. You also get put on extra watch lists or succession plans. If you are 35+, then you have some exec type sponsor or something
