Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel relies too much on luck

Leaving things to chance is usually a sign of poor leadership. Doesn't it seem like Intel is often relying on luck more than anything? That is not and cannot be a good strategy. Eventually you find out you are not that lucky. Just saying

Incompetence or deliberate self serving actions which negatively impact the company either one or the other. I can’t think of some other psychological reason apart from maximizing personal incentives.

Not luck, Intel is reliant on incompetence. By that I mean that they promote people to their level of incompetence (Peter Principle), often into decision making roles that negatively affect the entire organization. Intel also likes to replace highly competent and effective people with less competent less expensive people just to save money. The longer an employees tenure, the older and more expensive they become.

Luck has nothing to do with the poor leadership at Intel, it's more about incompetence.

Not luck but they do seem to function quarter by quarter.
