Older employees treated poorly

While I recognize that the company has to motivate the 30-40 year olds to stay until the pension locks them in - the behaviors I am seeing are ridiculous. Senior technical folks (50+ year olds) with tons of great past assignments/accomplishments are given cr-ppy jobs while mediocre 30 and 40 year olds are treated like royalty. Very unprofessional treatment.

DW - you are taking your best people and demoralizing them. You've invested decades into them and now you give them BS work. And those 30-40 year olds will still quit. If they are smart they will look at how the company treats 50+ year olds and realize they need to leave now.

What a dumpster fire of a company. DW that is your legacy.

Retired a year and half ago. This was a tough decision because I actually enjoyed what I did and liked my coworkers. But at the end of the day it was the best thing I did. Management has destroyed this company.
Annandale being the worst case in my opinion.

I agree they do treat older employees like cr-p. It's awful...there was a time when they were valued. Now cheap, no quality cr-p from overseas is all they want!

Absolute truth here and azz hat sls that are so ignorant telling seasoned veterans how to do their job is the icing on the cake. Demoralizing, back stabbing, credit stealing, incompetent, fake managers.

Forget Exxonmobil. I can’t wait until they run out of real workers and start using these sls to do real work. Most couldn’t poor P out of a boot with directions on the heel but man can they talk a good game.
