Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

LAST CHANCE FOR AN INTERVIEW

As some of you may remember, I'm a journalist writing a story about Charlie Scharf's "efficiency" policies and the effects they've had on Wells Fargo's tech. That story is coming out next week. If you want to get your experiences in the story, this is your last chance. You can reach me at vswezey@royalmedia.com or on Twitter @vicswezey. I can guarantee anonymity and total transparency for anyone who wants to have a chat.

Maybe you can talk about people like me who worked in Risk & Control and who's audit results "non effective" were changed to effective to be in line with all the indian testers results which were all 100% effective. Being the only person who actually failed controls and pushed back on being told to change my ratings I spent several years having my bonus stolen, no raise and when they finally could not find a reason to fire me, they fired me for violating a policy because I provided information requested by one of the regulators regarding MRA work. Fired for reporting fraudulent control ratings and when I assisted the regulators, they fired me for sharing company information outside the firm. Wells Fargo has not changed one bit, because they know they're teflon and no one holds them accountable.

Hey SFB who recommended ProtonMail then down-voted my factual comment about it de-anonymizing ToR users:

Re ProtonMail: it has actually been known to intentionally de-anonymize ToR users. Use Protonmail at your own risk.

Maybe you should highlight his useless hiring of folks like TK . All the phony awards that were bestowed on her for doing nothing . How she bullies people and her lack of knowledge and leadership. She just wants to travel and play and collect her fat check.

@qqj+1nPV93rp It's the wrong people leaving or getting laid off. The fat & lazy remain.

I can not wait to read your story. Charlie has laid off thousands of long term 25 year plus employees with no regard to loyalty. Age discrimination is HUGE here as he axed many people 62 years old plus nearing retirement knowing how difficult it would be to get a job. He has moved jobs to India and the Philippines. Borrowers have no idea their confidential information has gone overseas. Wells Fargo has axed their mortgage folks down to nothing. We used to be the nations number one mortgage lender. Now we are nothing.

You think shareholders care about sending jobs to India? Of course they care. They want it to increase because it increases shareholder value.

The whole losing talent thing isn't really felt at the top of the Enterprise. The individual teams or parts may suffer, but the whole will keep on trucking.

I guess I'd like to underscore the risks (and challenges!) posed by using so many foreign tech workers (and this isn't coming from a place of racism). Think about it: The company has no problem hiring foreign tech workers but has policies against working remotely -- even briefly -- from a foreign country.

I strongly suggest having a word and spotlighting some of the many principled conservatives Wells' onshore outsourcing to red states has left us with. The shareholders would be delighted to see the caliber of employee who is left in charge of their money.
