"They don't give a sh-t about nonsense like DEI. They don't have whiners. They are all happy to have high paying jobs."

DEI is a ploy.
The government class uses it to buy votes.
The fake elite class - wall street - uses it as a distraction.
The fake elite class - universities - do it because they cannot come up with anything new and they have to justify their tenured privileged positions.

TSMC lives off the US universities. I have noticed their workers do not ask a lot of questions. That is NOT a recipe for innovation.

@2zpc+1nSmyt6S. No DEI but they sure have slave labor from other countries. Their salary is high in Taiwan but high is relative. There are not many hiring companies in Taiwan so you get what they pay you.

I have been to Hsinchu many times. I admire the work ethic, technical talent and efficient processes of TSMC.

They don't give a sh-t about nonsense like DEI. They don't have whiners. They are all happy to have high paying jobs.

Intel culture and US regulations mean that Intel will never be competitive with TSMC. Intel also has no ecosystem and lacks the flexibility and customer focus to ever win at contract manufacturing. Even inside Intel, TMG and TD just ignore any group other then the flagship product lines. It has always been that way. It's hubris and it's really embarrassing.

Of course! Hard to get that kind of slave labor in the US, even these days.
