Thread regarding Ford layoffs

It’s MondaY, f-250 recall on windows

We have so much to learn with this new window technology. I thought we are a software company.

If we can’t do little things right, how can we ever do big things?

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickups due to an issue with the operation of the front window.

The defect: in affected vehicles, if the driver and front passenger door module experiences a low power condition and resets while the window is moving, the anti-pinch function may not detect an obstacle near the top edge and may not automatically reverse direction.

The hazards: a window that does not automatically reverse when an obstruction is encountered increases the risk of injury.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this issue.

Wow! It seems there are flaws already in the JF/BF plan of outsourcing design and engineering to suppliers, make UAW responsible of all the assembling, and focus FMC only in software development. Well, this one was not related to the part itself, nor the assembly, leaving again Ford as the responsible for the recall.

Good thing we are focusing in quality. Otherwise, who knows how bad things would be, right?

Didn't they delay the launch to deliver a "flawless" product.
