the masses are subjected to browbeating, threats of termination, and 3 going to 4 or 5 days, and permanent WFH leaders are often the ones issuing the RTO mandates and threats. Great morale builder.

You’re wasting your energy. The slackers are simply going to have to learn this life lesson the hard way. And yes, you are causing the offshoring to India by your own actions.
“It will change from badge swipe to hours worked in the office using a software which will be installed in September”.
There is no such thing as “a Software”. Software is plural.
“using software which will be installed in September.”
Sadly, I don’t think that many employees realize that trying to game the system is a topic of discussion with upper mgmt. As with all banks, 80% of our workers are clerical tech Ops jobs and they’re only going to learn if there is immediate reaction to gaming the system. Very ew employees will connect their displacement to their avoidance actions to game RTO.
Well, 3 days a week on on a conference call at 7am EST with Pune so I'm not going to be in the office at 8am.
28 hours? How’d they come up w/ that calculation? 8 x3 = 24 hours
It will change from badge swipe to hours worked in the office using a software which will be installed in September. Mandatory 28 hours in the office starting late September early October. It’s because some people have been only staying 1-2 hours in the office and some badged in on weekends.
@5vva+1nTHRisq - you do realize that this is also a topic of discussion with upper mgmt as well now right. They’re very much aware of people who are doing this and you and your mgrs stupidity is about to sc--w us all because wfh is about to be taken away fully thanks to people like you
I’m one of the many that leave around mid-day or come in around noon. My manager could care less as long as we’re swiping our badges and not showing up on any reports. I don’t feel bad about it considering they’ve made exactly half of the people on our team WFH in the past three months despite all of them living within blocks of the NYC office. Funny that the ones that get WFH are the worst on the team and the high performers are rewarded by being hybrid.
Idk about you all, but I’m sick of hearing you have to do 3 days in or your review and performance is impacted. Yet every team around us isn’t requiring 3 days in or even full days when their teams actually do go in . By noon they leave every time. This nonsense is clearly not bank required and not fair at all
From the carping here it seems that the effective workers are becoming ever more trusted and the ones who barely work are being outed. This is a good trend,
Misery loves company.
Incompetent employees that need handholding need to go back into the office. Those who have been doing great work should be given a choice of hybrid options or WFH.
Stop slacking and you’ll be treated better. We understand who on our teams are trustworthy and who aren’t. It all starts with your work ethic.
Give us some credit.

Haha - Todd‘s nephew again… Saying “we” and “us” as us if he’s making any of these decisions. So naive - probably one of these 24-year-olds just at a college thinking he’s going to become CEO someday. You’re an expense. Just a number to this company. They will get rid of you too as soon as they can.

Roman clarified this today: “special people are granted special privileges.” Full stop. Work yourself into senior management and then we’ll talk. Until then- go to the office M-F.
Time to put on your big boy pants and go to work. The whining here is truly over the top.
Yep. & my group has about 20% of staff, permanent work from home…
