Is there a way to find this information? No idea what my shareowners account # is and nothing on 401k site since they changed companies.
@lta. Me too! You know what I didn’t understand about that? It isn’t like I cashed it out so why was it taxed because it will be taxed when I cash it out. If it’s because it’s a gift/income, then why would I pay taxes on it rather than adjusting my taxes when I filed. It never made sense to me how they taxed it and pushed it down to less stock. I feel I should have had 50 shares and paid taxes on it myself.

Doesnt anyone read the information sent about this. It could lead to a sizeable sum because as the first poster said, not worth the paperwork. Only those who submit the paperwork are included so the less who do the more you get. Second, the attorney's fees in this suit were limited by the judge. From when the settlement is reached to actual payout the attorneys feverishly pad their hours to get more money. In this case it wont help as it's a fixed amount not a % of settlement. Oh and 50 share guy, it would be 50 shares you list not the 37 after taxes. WF gave you 50. The fact that the government took 13 is not relevant. The last one of these concerning our 401K matching I got $1800 so it is not always peanuts.
It’s sc-mmy that Wells Fargo did not provide the shareholder information for this lawsuit. Or the lawyers did not force them to provide it.
Agreed. The 50 shares that I was supposed to receive was whittled down to 37 for taxes. How much would my share of the litigation settlement be? Typical…lawyers make out big, while the injured parties get a pittance.
not sure the payout (for me) is worth filling out the paperwork......
