Bad soldering?

EV's do not require soldering as they have far less vibration throughout the chassis than an ICE vehicle. Typically EV would use a silicone dioxide bonding process for all circuits and the like. SiO2 process costs far less and has much quicker production time. SiO2 is somewhat new (~10-15 years) but has been widely accepted in EV production.
I would think not having the cluster light on would lessen the risk of an accident as there would be less distraction to the driver. I think this is a tad bit misrepresented.
I tried to tell them to weld it but they didn't listen. Solder!!! Ha!!!
They'll make up for it selling your data to comm ease.
“Things are still solder nowadays?”
Yes. Most electronic devices are soldered. The process is predominantly automated.
The government mandated the elimination of tin-lead solders so the replacement isn’t as forgiving of process variations.
Put me in coach. I have no soldering experience but I'm cheap labor!
Ford Motor Co is recalling some 2023 Escape, Super Duty F-250, Super Duty F-350, Super Duty F-450, and Super Duty F-550 vehicles as improper soldering in their digital instrument panel cluster module may prevent the panel from illuminating, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the module or instrument panel as necessary, NHTSA says on its website
Things are still solder nowadays? What is this the 1950’s?? Can’t our super genius fearless leaders find a better way to make electronic connections than soldering???
ooop, I hope they get that down before the big EV transformation!
