Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Purple Poison

Writing was on the wall when they came out with the PURPLE BS. How much time and money was spent to come up with that lame sh-t. Is EMT and the board drinking too much of this garbage and asleep at the wheel? I got an idea let's buy more fiber cause that's been working out great!

@zzk What an actually sick comment. You're a ki----s who is trying to feel better about yourself while your colleagues and friends are losing their livelihoods. Guess we know you're more BS than B3.

I have a better idea. Let’s bring down CCI stock!
Trading at 103 right now. Shows how much of a Shi*y company it’s become

People have been predicting layoffs on the fiber side because it's a bad money maker. Towers makes money, SC/FS loses money. CC will see a positive return on fiber when the Detroit Lions win the SB.

@zzk+1nYc136f with your middle management a-s. That ceiling probably didn't feel good when you hit it.

@wip+1nYc136f, what about it isnt true? There are no talks about layoffs in fiber from the EMT. Fiber has hired a ton of people this year. Reqs are still being posted and filled. All we do is win, no matter what.

I guarantee nothing happens next quarter. You guys have been predicting fiber layoffs since the beginning of the year and all we’ve done on the fiber side is grow. You guys know absolutely nothing. That’s why almost half of towers is getting cut.

Don’t worry, fiber people. Your just desserts will come next quarter. Imagine thinking the towers just run themselves… lol. When the cash cow gets skinny and fiber is actually forced into fiscal accountability (!!!), you won’t know what to do. Tower cash flow is good for a reason—it comes in. Fiber bleeds cash like an untreated wound, and it’s run by some of the shadiest people in the company.

I drank the purple kool aid and I still have a job with benefits. I’m not worried about paying my mortgage or feeding my family.

Maybe some of you complaining about losing your jobs should’ve done the same as me and you wouldn’t be worried right now.

The truth of the matter is Towers can not accept that CC is no longer just wanting to lease out tower space. As soon as CC went into SC and Fiber / Enterprise services, Towers folk should have started preparing themselves to be able to move over to SC/ Fiber if they wanted. Even some SC techs had the wherewithal to switch over. I'm sure people could see that but they liked their cushy, easy job. On the fiber operations side there is plenty of work and the end of month is always hectic. Long hours are not uncommon.

“Towers failed because so much money was spent propping up fiber. We didn’t have the resources to make tower construction services successful.”

You trying to convince me or yourself?

Right, cause fiber is the reason tower services failed and the carriers slowed down their activity…

The constraints of the 3 B's were too burdensome. They had to be deleted and any vestige of ethics or integrity had to be removed, in order to liberate the EMT and to attract the type of talent necessary to implement the current vision of digital transformation.
The employees of good character experience pain while the shady ones thrive and advance.
The situation closely resembles what happens when you 'jailbreak' a chatbot to manipulate it into breaking its rules.
