Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Future Employers

Our future employers (possibly) are looking at this site and are contemplating whether they would hire someone from T with all the whining they are doing about having to work.

Not a pretty picture being shown on here.

@1ikh+1nZf746A : I call BS on this. If anything, T's pay is higher than normal. When I was working there I was earning about $109K per year and corollary positions at other places were about $20K below that line.

Maybe things changed since I left in 2020. But pay is basically the only reason anyone would actually want to stay with T despite the horrible environment, awful leadership, and toxic culture.

My husband has plenty of offers with much better benefits and pay. Not sure why he keeps holding on here. I’m giving him until December to get out and move on. 29 and 1/2 half is enough. Potential employers aren’t looking at that this page otherwise, I wouldn’t be working. If you want to stay poor, stay at T. He can’t even afford groceries for his kids on that pay. What a joke.

OP says: "Our future employers (possibly) are looking at this site and are contemplating whether they would hire someone from T with all the whining they are doing about having to work."

What a good little serf! If your next job depends on being mistreated with no complaint then what is the point? You sound like you have already been defeated. Policing your own speech and the speech of your colleagues on behalf of incompetent executives that brought us to this point. Your mom must be so proud.

Won't need employers or employment in the future. The Cloward–Piven strategy is in effect and going wonderfully.

You’ve obviously never worked here. I have 25 years and can tell you this.

If you are still here, you’re a warrior.

OP,

You’re on here reading all the posts - get back to work and stop whining about others already.

Maybe board of directors at other companies should consider whether or not to ever let a former AT&T executive work for their companies after reading the comments on this site IN ADDITION to the falling stock price, bad customer reviews, massive debt from stupid decisions ... SOOOO many reasons for bad morale at this company. You call it whining all you want. What it REALLY is, is proof that the company has very poor leadership and no one should ever hire a former AT&T executive.

Walmart and Amazon warehouses will still hire former T employees.

I see someone is getting in some good ol’ fashion afternoon trolling. Does trolling help with digesting lunch?

Your lack of reading comprehension in interpreting the posts gives more discredit than what you think you are complaining about.

D-mb. Looks at any company on here, especially the ones going through the same RTO thing, and there are many, and you will see all the same posts. No one is looking at this site to determine to hire people from a specific company or not. But you know who's looking? Potential future employees, and the best of them see how companies like T treat their employees, and will go somewhere else. It's time we realize we have more power than these large companies want us to know.
