Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Environment that no longer motivates

RTO is certainly not to blame for the erosion of culture. We could argue about who or what is the culprit though, right?
When the leadership starts mentioning RTO in the context of preventing the erosion of culture, I can't believe that they haven't noticed that the former culture which embodies the company's mission statement with emphasis on work excellence and goals for higher business performance has long been gone. It's not about where employees work from. It is more about the fact that quality employees are not sufficiently valued nor respected.

This stupid website is a small part of the erosion! Allowing anonymous people vent, is dangerous! Some like to stir the pot, some are very angry, some are bullies, some like to insert politics, some are from other competitors,...close down this useless site! It never gives good information, it just riles people up.

This…

“ LCC and H1B folks have to have their hands held all of the damn time to do anything and don’t do anything exceptional unless their boss tells them”

Ford WAS a company of people with exceptional talents.

This leadership team is horrendous.

Farley? Tells the media about our job security and withholds info until we are SIRP’d over WebEx suddenly.

Fields? His greatest claim to fame was the AM radio debacle and they keep riding on the Mach-E/BEV launches with zero new product strategy over these vehicle lines or upcoming vehicles. No one is excited about new font sizes on Menlo screens, Doug.

Ford HR? Touts DEI but denies advancements, movements, or anything for NA internal employees unless you’re part of friends and family. We can all tell they’re moving their special friends right now before the supposed big layoff week.

Purdy? Doug Jr. and just as inspiring.

Roz Ho? Would rather talk about Microsoft products than bring anything revolutionary about vehicles into Ford.

FLV, all of those other characters - blood suckers of Ford money.

We are all literally waiting for our separation checks because these mo--ns, with the help of Bill Ford’s endorsements and hyper focus on the train station, have sunk this company. The next 10 years are going to be painful as more offshoring happens, more uninspired engineering (seriously, LCC and H1B folks have to have their hands held all of the damn time to do anything and don’t do anything exceptional unless their boss tells them), and NA is reduced to LL4’s and above scratching their heads on why their LCC worker bees don’t get their direction.

The erosion of the culture started 30+ years ago. It’s just a runaway train again. Mullally tried to pull the brake but the brake just vaporized due to shear inertia of the crazy train. Now you have the narcissist Farley shoveling coal into the boiler with Billy sitting in the first class car sipping champagne and eating caviar. They bring in other crazy train conductors who learn that the Ford train is the craziest of them all and they jump off after a year.
