Can anyone confirm details of first year ranking / MAC group? Are hi-pos identified this early?

Rankings should be communicated in July. Raises and promotions are usually communicated in December and go into effect in January. There are some exceptions to this timing, but that’s usually the way it’s done in the US

The longer you are at XOM, the lower your ranking until you are forced out, 2% raises (at best) along the way. Best bet is to do nothing, kiss a$$, and don’t pi$$ anyone off. Never have an original idea, always agree with people higher on the totem pole no matter how stup1d their idea or question, and do lots of powerpoint slides, revising several times as your supervisor “adds value” making you change it. Repeat the chant “diversity makes us stronger” and act like you believe it. Talk about how all the ERGs such as BEST, PRIDE, ACE, WIN, etc are great and the most important thing to work on. Never ever do any actual work. If someone on your level or lower actually does work, point out that it took too long and cost too much.

You ranking will be mediocre at best because you are not a hi-po, your raise will be miserable, and your cl is set algorithmically with all levers pulled only to maximize hi-pos CL at the expense of yours.

These are the wrong question to ask.

The right questions is HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET THE FK OUT OF THIS GARBAGE OF A COMPANY?
