Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The atmosphere is really awful

I think I have never been less motivated for work and it was never harder for me to concentrate on work. The fear of being surplused, a manager with an inflated ego who puts a lot of pressure on us and his favorites who are mostly just a mediocrity... I could go on and on... The situation's hardly ever been worse here.

show up late, long breaks, double lunch, leave early. call out once a week.make short weeks with paid time off. you would be surprised how much nicer life is this way.

As a craft employee this post is accurate with some supervisors, and not with others. Glad I retired.

I'm treating it just like any other thing in life that I can't personally control: I focus on what I can do. All I can do is my job to the best of my ability.
