Don't what to get laid off? Find a union salary stewart and sign the union card and they can't fire you. You will be under the UAW contract. But you will kiss your annual merit raise good bye. They can lay you off at 80% pay.
There is UAW salary employees. The Body Designers are. And Engineers can join the Union.

You should all consider transitioning to blue collar roles. You will feel so much pride after a long day of working with your hands.
"Get your resumes ready." If you get cut, it is game over. There is NOTHING out here, I have no idea where to send a resume, since the vast majority of job postings are fake. Even the recruiters are telling me they have NOTHING, not even contract or purchase service positions.
We should discuss on this board, what other careers that we can transfer over to, such as stock analysist, insurance sales, or maybe weather forecasting.
Heard it’s coming in June - either end of this week or before the 4th.
Huge reorg and reduction on the workforce. All areas impacted. Definite hiring freezes on moves to areas that will be greatly impacted.

We RTO'd a few weeks ago. Tues-Thurs every week now. Must of the team gets here really really and are gone by 3:30-4pm.
I was here until 5pm. Got up to go to the restroom and caught the LL4 and most of the LL5s coming out of a conference room. They looked dour and they wouldn't make eye contact with me.
Also, my PC is running like a pig.
I've heard rumors of some managers signing NDA's.

I'm hearing that voluntaries are coming, but this is second-hand information, and no estimated time frame was given. I realize this isn't all that useful, but maybe others are hearing the same?
