Are all the employees at Ford really as miserable at work as it comes across from reading posts here? I understand we have issues and that this leadership team could use many, many improvements, but not everything is bad. I just can't believe that this much negativity and misery is the true face of Ford.

OP, have you considered that you may be in denial? Accept the truth, it will make you free.
OP, you have to consider where you're reading this. This is a Layoff forum. Most of the people here have been let go from their job at Ford - myself included. There will be a lot of negativity and anger that comes with that as part of the normal coping process. Some people carry that anger and never let it go. Others get past it.
And a lot of other people here are current employees who are dealing with the stress of ongoing layoffs. I was there over a decade and went through 5~7. It really does make you feel stressed when your source of income is in jeopardy.
I am happier now than ever before. I don't carry any grudges - but I also got rid of my Lincoln and won't buy a FoMoCo product ever again.
And there are people who work at Ford right now who are absolutely thrilled to be there. They love what they do and/or who they work with. A lot of them. I don't hold that against them. The unhappy people tend to be more vocal.
One thing that I've found to be true is that Ford is the least 'happy' of the Detroit OEMs. Even with everything going on in the industry, people who have worked at multiple 'Big 3' will consistently say that Ford was worse. Myself included.
OP - Open you eyes and go pound sand.
Working under constant threat of layoff just because you were hired prior to Jan.1 2004 well generate a lot of negativity. The OP is either an HR troll or doesn't work here!
Whoever wrote this original post is an FCG. I used to be young and naive like that. FCG, wise up and dump Ford. Go somewhere else. You have so much more potential.
They lay off or incentivize people to leave, lose all the people with experience, then mandate their engineers take 30+ hours of “quality training” classes (instead of classes to improve their particular expertise) because the product quality sucks.

This isn't a company sanctioned site. It just a bunch of non Ford employees getting their rocks off whipping everyone that is an employee up. There are no facts here. You get when a layoff happens. Nobody in the know would risk their job by posting here ahead of time.
You either don’t work there or you are one of the management that doesn’t get affected and don’t obviously understand. Peoples lives, livelihoods and families are being affected and in some cases destroyed without any fault of their own. Getting rid of salary workers is nothing more than a cover-up for incompetence of the people running the company. They are just kicking the can down the road and pretending like they are fixing something by getting rid of people only to extend how long they get to line there pockets, while innocent suffer.
This is a layoff board, what did you expect? There are two types of people at Ford: those with a future and those without one. Why people get negative is the ones without a future did nothing wrong; in many instances did the right thing in the face of adversity. However, the toxic culture of Ford will do anything and everything to burn people to the ground who go against the grain even if it’s the right thing to do. This is why you see negative posts.
Yes. It is very toxic.
Why be negative. Just because our management, culture, financial performance, and products are underwater is no reason.
Let’s look on the bright side, BF and JF will lead us to a successful future at Ford.
