To address the issue that @Msun+1ngh6ebZ reported, is there a way for a team to complain about their supervisor collectively?

Some managers I've had lacked the knowledge needed to do their job effectively. Took days to get an answer whenever you ask for direction and the answer given is 9 times out on 10 - the WRONG approach.
As we all know the last few months caused the company to make decisions that were clearly unavoidable which resulted in some employees being transitioned to other department within the same line of business.
I was appalled, and I am still appalled at the level of disrespect, condescending tone, tyrannical abusive and narcissistic behavior that is spewed by the current team supervisor. The unnecessary micromanagement and constant interruptions throughout the workday is like nothing I have ever experienced in my 25 years of mortgage banking. It was made clear really fast that no one on the team would be allowed to have an opinion or have a say in any credit decision that is made on a loan or else it’s a constant confrontation/back and forth. The condescending tone and ambition to target other colleagues is like nothing I have ever witnessed EVER. To name a few;

  • - asking the team off the record to send examples of grievances our team had with another Supervisor who covered our team during an absence
  • subtly calling out team mates on Zoom calls for any errors that were made on a particular loan in a condescending manner then flips the conversation so that it is perceived as though it was a joke
  • If you display an objective view or opinion on how a guideline is interpreted you are met with hostility
  • If proven wrong on a particular subject or scenario, I have noticed that retaliatory behavior is exhibited
  • does not have the ability to hold a sensible discussion on a subject matter as it always turns into a confrontation more so to prove why things must be done one way, period. A simple task as sending an email gives grounds to be spoken to as though you are a 6 year old child and, with a warning that there is concern with your “quality of work”...EVERYTHING, no matter how insignificant "is a concern with your quality of work".

I fail to understand how JPMorgan Chase could put someone as crude and disrespectful as this supervisor in this role. This employee should not be allowed to have any contact, verbal or written with any customer (internal nor external) without extensive training to improve her customer service and people management skills. Making the excuse that it’s a cultural difference is absurd. The two managers I had prior were nothing short of great mangers who were resourceful and demonstrated respect to all on the team. The company's values and culture that I came to know, love and respected are not depicted in daily interaction with the team. This Supervisor is a textbook example of a workplace bully who made my time at Chase THE WORST experience in my career and I would not wish what I went through on anyone hence, I'm blacklisting myself.

I worked among peers who reported into a different line of business and had nothing to do with what I did. On holidays they would go home early while I worked out the day. My manager would conveniently forget to call me or email about early closing times even though they split at midday to start the holiday. When offsites did occur, I would find out from colleagues about it and ask my manager if I was invited. She would laugh it off and say of course and would have told me on my one on one even though everyone had known about it for weeks. At the last offsite before the pandemic, my manager and previous manager were on the train to the offsite with me and other colleagues but pretended they did not know us until we got off. Then it was, "were you on the same train", yet we sat in the same car.

Sounds like what I dealt with until they did me a favor and laid me off.

D&I does not exist. This is a double standard. I am not included in 50% of the meetings that my team attends. As I am in another state, I do not receive invitations for offsite meetings either. My manager takes my work and presents it as their own. I do not have a change to present my work. In my world, inclusion does not exist. I am different than the rest of the team because I am in another state. I have asked to be included in discussions with the large group. No luck yet.
