Remember when it's all said and done Bill will be in his 8000 sq foot mansion, eating expensive Vegan meals and planning his next Botox appointment. Meantime, many of us will be struggling to figure out how to make our meager savings last. It makes me sick to think about.

1kzn: note retirement projections will be updated by the end of September once the IRS releases the August segment rates. If you retire in 2024 (after Dec 1, 2023) the lump sum will likely go down based on current trajectory.
CTRL + SHIFT + F5 will clear the cache on the retirement projections server and it should work....
I was able to run my eligibility
Tried to run retirement projections. Kept getting an error stating "Restricted Access. There's a problem with either the data or your eligibility. Return to the previous page to continue browsing the site."
We know they start on Monday. If you do not have all your paystubs downloaded/emailed to yourself and an extract of other important info — prioritize that and get it done this evening. If you don’t you will regret it if you are clipped.
If you don’t get clipped, then you will have only expended 15 minutes of time.
Have no loyalty to an employer beyond your paycheck. Do the work they pay you to do, but if you can move to a new company with better pay, better work, or better working conditions, do it.
Make sure to save the first $1M you make because you never know when you might have to say, “Gentlemen, I quit.”
Right now, all we have is rumors.
The people who probably do know are in IT, security and shipping (they often get pallets of banker boxes just before layoffs).
Even if you survive this round, there will be another round soon (then another, and another, ...).
