Yea very 6 months you will get the same drama.
Just find a job and let it 🔥
From the article:
“Cost efficiency is an outcome but it’s not the motivation,” he said. “We’ve said lots of times that we’re not cost competitive with other companies right now.”
So he's saying: a) Ford is not cost competitive, and b) These cuts are motivated by cost efficiency. Hmmm, OK, so he's saying the cuts are about something other than improving profitability by eliminating positions that aren't cost effective (IE those who don't have the skill sets needed). Forgive me if suspect that this statement is a round about way of saying that the goal is to appease investors to increase stock prices.
This article explains a lot: https://www.mlive.com/public-interest/2023/06/ford-layoffs-loom-for-salaried-workers-in-us-and-canada.html
@lrt+1nj5yLuU imagine simping for a company about to lay you off.
can't ever be me.
@lrt+1nj5yLuU
I mean imagine simping for a company that's literally about to lay you off.
can't ever be me
If this post is not sarcasm, cuts are clearly needed for folks like this poster.
Enough screwing around & get back to work and put in a few extra for wasting your time all day here.
Thank you..
Yep no work until the inevitable batch of promotions, reorg and hiring spree completes. Then the next stealth layoff cycle will begin, so again too stressful to work. Oh let’s just join the FnF gang and cease work altogether, that works well for them. Red Hot Poker meet JF. All the way up.
I'm trying to figure out if this waiting for the "all clear" feels more like a bo----g raid or the Eloi and the Morlocks scenario from Time Machine. Either way, it sucks.
